About ColorPeekr

ColorPeekr is a small toolbox for working with color: pick a color from anywhere on your screen, convert it between HEX, RGB, HSL, HSB, CMYK and OKLCH, build palettes, and check whether text is readable on a background.

The contrast checker follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and when a combination fails it suggests the nearest color that passes, so you can fix it without starting over.

Everything runs in your browser. Colors you pick or type are never sent to us or stored.

How we build our tools

• Free, with no sign-up. Open the page and use the tool. There are no accounts and no paywalls.
• Private by default. Tools run in your browser wherever possible. When a server is needed, we process what is required to answer your request and do not log or store it.
• Fast and focused. One job per tool, done well, on any device.
• Funded by ads. Ads keep the tools free. They sit in clearly labelled spaces and never between a tool and its result.

Who is behind ColorPeekr

ColorPeekr is made by Codebit, a small independent studio in Copenhagen, Denmark, that builds websites and apps. ColorPeekr is one of a family of small, free utility sites that share the same simple design and the same privacy principles.
